Let Summer 2009 be a Healthy one for You!
I simply love the onset of Spring and Summer! The days are longer, the warm, balmy air encourages us to get moving and step out of our hybernation into a more active lifestyle.....
Now is the time to embrace some health goals and kickstart your fitness regime!
Here are some small suggestions to help you on your way to a fit and fabulous Summer 2009:
1) Drink 35ml of good, clean, filtered water / kg of bodyweight / day.
2) Take the kids / dogs / your partner / just yourself for a 30 minute brisk walk at least 3 times per week. Work you way up to a walk/jog pattern and then finally jog the whole way.
3) Eat 15 different fruit, vege's and nuts per day.
4) Eat good quality protein (no bigger than the size of your palm) to support good hormone production. Remember, despression is reduced when you have good protein consumption. (Carbs = SADS ; Protein = HAPPY)
5) Laugh, smile and give someone you love a big bear hug. Life's always yummier when you're giving of yourself.
